A Gol Linhas Aereas Boeing 737-800, flight G3-1255 from Belem,PA to Sao Luiz,MA (Brazil), ingested a bird into one of its engines while on approach to Sao Luiz. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.

The remaining sectors of the flight to Fortaleza,CE, Natal,RN and Salvador,BA (Brazil) were cancelled.

The airline confirmed a bird was ingested into one of the engines upon arrival to Sao Luiz. The remaining schedule was cancelled, a replacement flight was scheduled however to leave in the evening at 22:00L with a delay of 14 hours. The passengers were accomodated and provided with food in the meantime.
