A Precision Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-600, registration 5H-PWI performing flight PW-422 from Dar es Salaam to Arusha (Tanzania) with 37 passengers, blew all 4 main tyres upon landing on Arusha's runway 27. The aircraft stopped on the runway and was disabled.

The airline confirmed the incident advising passengers that due to the lack of aircraft their schedule was disrupted.

On Dec 17th the airline announced that the aircraft has been repaired and and resumed service. The airline explained, that the approach to Arusha's runway 09 was not deemed safe due to rain, the crew therefore decided to land on runway 27 accepting tail wind. Due to the higher speed above ground the crew applied higher brake forces which led to the deflation of the tyres.
