A UTAir Canadair CRJ-100, registration VQ-BGQ performing flight UT-327 from St. Petersburg to Naryan-Mar (Russia) with 43 passengers and 4 crew, was on approach to Naryan-Mar when the crew needed to reduce thrust of the left hand engine (CF34) due to excessive exhaust gas temperatures. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Naryan-Mar still operating on both engines.

A replacement CRJ-200 registration VQ-BGL, originally assigned to fly from Naryan-Mar to Moscow Vnukovo, performed the return flight and reached St. Petersburg with a delay of 4.5 hours, the flight to Moscow was cancelled.
