A Wizzair Airbus A320-200, registration HA-LPM performing flight W6-1097 from Katowice (Poland) to Dortmund (Germany), was on final approach to Dortmund's runway 24 at about 2500 feet MSL when the crew noticed a sailplane about 100-150 meters to their left at the same altitude. The A320 continued for a safe landing on runway 24.

On Nov 4th 2013 Germany's BFU reported in their August Bulletin that the occurrence was rated a serious incident and an investigation opened reporting that the crew estimated the remaining horizontal separation at about 100-150 meters (330-500 feet) with both aircraft at the same altitude.
