A KLM Boeing 777-300, registration PH-BVD performing flight KL-868 from Osaka Kansai (Japan) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was enroute at FL340 about 30nm northeast of Stockholm's Arlanda Airport (Sweden) when the crew declared PAN PAN due to engine (GE90) problems and deviated to the right to get out of the airway, then began to drift down to FL260. The aircraft landed safely on Arlanda's runway 01L about 40 minutes after leaving FL340.

KLM is about to dispatch a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 registration PH-KCE to Stockholm to resume the flight as KL-1120.
