A Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737-800, registration LN-DYE performing flight DY-5596 from Aalborg (Denmark) to Alicante,SP (Spain), was enroute at FL370 almost on top of Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) when the first officer, who had not been feeling well, became incapacitated prompting the captain to declare emergency and divert the aircraft to Amsterdam (Netherland) about 200nm north of their position, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 06 about 34 minutes later. The first officer was taken to a hospital.

The aircraft was able to continue the flight the following morning with a replacement crew and reached Alicante with a delay of 14 hours.
