An Austrian Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration OE-LAZ performing flight OS-94 from Washington Dulles,DC (USA) to Vienna (Austria), was enroute at FL330 about 40nm southeast of New York's JFK Airport about 40 minutes into the flight when the crew descended the aircraft to FL280 and decided to return to Washington due to a faulty air data computer. The aircraft landed safely on Dulles Airport's runway 01C about 50 minutes later. Flights OS-94 of Apr 8th and OS-93 (Vienna-Washington) of Apr 9th were cancelled. The aircraft departed Washington the following day as regular flight OS-94 Apr 9th and reached Vienna on Apr 10th almost on schedule.
