A Shuttle America Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of United, registration N651RW performing flight S5-364/UA-3564 from Austin,TX to Newark,NJ (USA), was enroute at FL330 about 150nm southwest of Nashville,TN (USA) when the crew reported a problem with the spoilers and decided to divert to Nashville. On approach the crew reported they would not have ground spoilers and needed the longest runway available requesting runway 31 (active runways 02). The aircraft landed safely on Nashville's runway 31 about 45 minutes after leaving FL330.

A replacement Embraer ERJ-170 registration N858RW reached Newark with a delay of 4.5 hours.
