A Westjet Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration C-FKWS performing flight WS-2773 from Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 95 people on board, was enroute at FL400 about 120nm southsoutheast of Buffalo,NY (USA) VOR when the first officer became unable to continue duties. The captain declared emergency and requested direct to Toronto, where the aircraft landed safely about 30 minutes later. The aircraft was expedited to the gate, where medical services awaited the aircraft and provided assistance to the first officer, who was then taken to a hospital.
