A Hong Kong Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration B-LPC performing flight HX-762 from Phuket (Thailand) to Hong Kong (China) with 110 passengers and 7 crew, was descending towards Hong Kong when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence causing injuries to 3 cabin crew and 3 passengers. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Hong Kong's runway 25L. The injured were taken to local hospitals.

The airline confirmed 3 cabin crew and 3 passengers received minor injuries in the turbulence encounter.
