An Aerocon Swearingen SA-227DC Metro, registration CP-2655 performing flight A4-228 from Potosi to Sucre (Bolivia) with 8 passengers and 2 crew, landed on Sucre's runway 05 at about 08:43L (12:43Z) but veered left off the runway almost immediately after touch down and came to a stop in a ditch about 50 meters/160 feet left of the runway center line. No injuries occurred, the aircraft received substantial damage to the nose gear, right propeller and right engine.

Bolivia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have opened an investigation into the accident, the black boxes were recovered.

The airline confirmed their flight 228 veered off the runway, there were no injuries, the right hand propeller and the nose section of the aircraft were badly damaged, the causes of the accident are being investigated, a brakes problem and/or a blown tyre are being suspected.
