A Nouvelair Airbus A321-200, registration TS-IQB performing flight BJ-3194 from Djerba (Tunisia) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 213 passengers, was climbing out of Djerba when the crew stopped the climb at 8000 feet reporting problems with an engine (CFM56) and diverted to Monastir (Tunisia). The aircraft entered a hold to burn off fuel and landed safely on Monastir's runway 25 about one hour later.

A replacement Tunisair Airbus A300-600 registration TS-IPB reached Paris with a delay of about 8 hours.

The incident aircraft was able to resume service about 10 hours after landing.
