A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N1604R performing flight DL-612 from Nagoya (Japan) to Honolulu,HI (USA), was enroute over the Pacific Ocean about 2 hours prior to estimated landing in Honolulu when a male passenger (62) became unresponsive, cabin crew assisted by nurses attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation until the aircraft reached to gate and medical services boarded the aircraft. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Honolulu's runway 08L about 2 hours later, medical services however had to pronounce the patient dead upon arrival. The airline reported cabin crew assisted by nurses attempted CPR, given the position of the aircraft there was no nearer airport available.
