The incident aircraft was able to resume service about 8.5 hours after landing.
Ukraine's Ministry of Transport reported in their monthy bulletin that the approach became bumpy while descending below 1000 feet AGL due to thermal warming of earth in variable winds. The pilot flying therefore decided to disconnect autopilot and autothrust and flew the approach manually, the Vapp was computed to 134 KIAS. The speed oscillated around that value for most of the final approach, in the last 5 seconds the speed decayed to 124 KIAS prompting a speed call from the pilot montoring, the engines were not accelerated, the pitch angle increased from about 3 to 7.4 degrees nose up during the flare. The aircraft touched down at a vertical acceleration of 2.62G as "result of the untimely actions by the pilot flying". The investigation commission concluded the incident was caused by a delayed engine acceleration with autothrust disengaged leading to a decrease of speed, increase of rate of descent and a hard touch down.
