Canadian North B732 at Iqaluit and Kuujjuaq on Jul 6th 2013, fuel emergency, landed below final fuel reserve

A Canadian North Boeing 737-200, registration C-GSPW performing flight 5T-436 from Ottawa,ON to Iqaluit,NU (Canada) with 44 people on board, went around on final approach to Iqaluit and decided to divert to Kuujjuaq,QC (Canada) located 340nm south of Iqaluit. The crew immediately advised they were already below diversion fuel according to flight plan and continued to Kuujjuaq for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported that the aircraft landed with 2500lbs of fuel remaining, 700lbs below required final fuel reserve. The operator is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fuel shortage.
