A THY Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration TC-JGN performing flight TK-1914 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Istanbul (Turkey), rejected takeoff from runway 10 at low speed due to an engine (CFM56) problem. The crew vacated the runway via taxiway F about 1100 meters down the runway and returned to the gate.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration TC-JFU reached Istanbul with a delay of 4 hours.

The incident aircraft was able to depart Zurich the following morning as flight TK-1912 to Istanbul, but after landing in Istanbul did not continue service.
