A UTAir Cargo Antonov AN-74, registration RA-74035 performing flight TUM-9673 from Magadan to Pevek (Russia) with 7 crew and a cargo of about 8 tons, was accelerating for takeoff when the crew received indication the left hand engine's (D36) electronic control unit (EEC) had failed. The crew rejected takeoff at 103 KIAS utilizing spoilers, reverse thrust and brakes. The aircraft stopped safely and returned to the apron.

Rosaviatsia reported that the left hand engine showed normal parameters during subsequent ground tests, the failure of the left hand EEC was confirmed however.
