A replacement Boeing 777-200 registration N794AN was dispatched from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA) to Anchorage carrying mechanics to Anchorage. After landing the aircraft took the passengers on board and continued the flight to Tokyo reaching the destination with a delay of 15 hours.
Maintenance identified a leaking hydraulic pressure transducer as cause of the problem and replaced the transducer. The incident aircraft is bound to position back to Dallas Ft. Worth, delivering the mechanics home, as flight AA-9628.
