An Iberia Airbus A321-200, registration EC-JNI performing flight IB-3168 from Madrid,SP (Spain) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was climbing out of Madrid's runway 14R when the crew stopped the climb at about FL110 reporting the failure of the navigation systems and returned to Madrid for a safe landing on runway 18R about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration EC-JMR reached London with a delay of 90 minutes.

A passenger reported that the aircraft levelled off about 5 minutes into the flight, the captain announced a technical fault, they would return to Madrid. Later during the descent the captain announced the failure of the navigation systems as cause for the return.
