A TAP Air Portugal Airbus A319-100, registration CS-TTO performing flight TP-557 from Munich (Germany) to Lisbon (Portugal), had used routine communication while on approach to Lisbon until being handed off to tower. The aircraft landed with the gear doors open and emergency services on stand by, vacated the runway stopping on the adjacent taxiway and was towed to the apron.

The incident aircraft was able to perform the next flight, TP-552 to Munich, about 3 hours after landing.
