A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-400, registration N832MH performing flight DL-41 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Minneapolis,MN (USA), was enroute at FL320 about 110nm west of Shannon (Ireland) about to enter Oceanic Airspace when the crew decided to turn around and return to London due to a noisy windscreen. The aircraft climbed to FL330 for the return, entered a hold at FL220 near Birmingham,EN (UK) for about one hour then commenced a safe landing at Heathrow Airport.

A replacement Boeing 767-400 registration N833MH reached Minneapolis with a delay of 7 hours.

A passenger reported they were having problems with the cabin pressure.

A defective windshield seal was identified as cause of the noise. The windshield was repaired and the aircraft positioned to New York JFK,NY (USA) the following day.
