A Horizon de Havilland Dash 8-400 on behalf of Alaska Airlines, registration N438QX performing flight QX-2358/AS-2358 from Portland,OR to Spokane,WA (USA), blew a tyre during departure from Portland, which resulted in damage to a gear door. The flight was continued to Spokane, where the aircraft entered a hold to work the relevant procedures. Following punctual departure the aircraft landed safely about 50 minutes past schedule.

The return flight planned for N438QX, flight QX-2041, was cancelled.

The FAA reported flight QXE-358 (QX-2358) blew a tyre on departure, providing a time stamp of 10 minutes past departure possibly indicating the tyre damage was detected only by then, and returned to Spokane.

The flight number however refers to the flight from Portland to Spokane, there was no departure at Spokane at the given time stamp.
