An Air Canada Embraer ERJ-175, registration C-FEJY performing flight AC-354 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Boston,MA (USA) with 44 people on board, was climbing out of Toronto. A few minutes after the landing gear had been selected up and had locked up the crew received an alarm indicating the landing gear was not down. The crew selected the gear down and up, the fault however did not clear. The crew stopped the climb at 7000 feet and returned to Toronto for a safe landing on runway 23 about 20 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance replaced the radio altimeter #2.
