An Air Algerie Boeing 737-800, registration 7T-VKB performing flight AH-1024 from Algiers (Algeria) to Marseille (France), landed on Marseille's runway 31R but burst both left hand main gear tyres during roll out and stopped disabled on the runway. The passengers disembarked onto the runway via stairs about 90 minutes later.

The incident aircraft was able to depart Marseille for the return flight after about 20 hours on the ground with a delay of 9.5 hours.
