A Lufthansa Cityline Embraer ERJ-195, registration D-AEBM performing flight CL-1622/LH-1622 from Munich (Germany) to Krakow (Poland), was on approach to Krakow when the crew stopped the descent at 3000 feet reporting flaps problems. The aircraft entered a hold for about 10 minutes, the crew worked the relevant checklists without success and decided to divert to Vienna (Austria). The aircraft climbed to FL280 enroute to Vienna and landed safely on Vienna's runway 34 at a higher than normal speed about 50 minutes after stopping the descent at Krakow.

The incident aircraft was able to position from Vienna to Munich about 6:45 hours after landing in Vienna and resumed service the following morning.
