A Gol Linhas Aereas Boeing 737-800, registration PR-VBE performing flight G3-1866 from Brasilia,DF to Salvador,BA (Brazil) with 174 people on board, had departed from Brasilia when the crew was informed about tyre debris and a damaged edge light found on the departure runway. The crew suspecting it was their tyre declared emergency upon arrival at Salvador and requested emergency services on standby. The aircraft landed safely in Salvador. One of the left main gear tyres was found burst, the aircraft was towed to the apron.

A passenger reported that during the takeoff roll some sharp noise followed by continuous was heard in the cabin until becoming airborne leaving the passengers around puzzled. Following landing the same noise occurred again as well as vibrations during roll out.

The airline confirmed one of the main gear tyres was suspected burst after takeoff, one left hand main gear tyre was indeed found flat after landing.
