A Sata Airbus A320-200, registration CS-TKO performing flight S4-541 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Ponta Delgada/Azores (Portugal), struck a bird while landing in Ponta Delgada. The aircraft continued for a safe landing and taxied to the apron.

The airline reported a post flight inspection revealed the aircraft had sustained damage requiring repairs. The aircraft positioned to Lisbon the following day for repairs but has not yet resumed service (standing Apr 8th 15:00Z).
