An Air France Boeing 747-400, registration F-GITI performing flight AF-695 from Miami,FL (USA) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France), was enroute at FL350 about 650nm eastsoutheast of Boston,MA (USA) when the crew reported a medical emergency on board and decided to divert to Boston requesting medical services await the aircraft at the gate. The aircraft landed safely on Boston's runway 33L about 90 minutes later and taxied to the gate, where the captain received medical attention.

The flight was postponed to the next day. The aircraft reached Paris with a delay of 21 hours.

The airline reported the aircraft diverted to Boston due to "operational difficulties".

A passenger reported the pilot became sick prompting the diversion to Boston.
