A Delta Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration N322US performing flight DL-1392 from Salt Lake City,UT to Boston,MA (USA) with 153 people on board, was enroute over Lake Michigan about 60nm westnorthwest of Grand Rapids,MI (USA) when the crew donned their oxygen masks and initiated an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft diverted to Grand Rapids, the crew indicated they had an air conditioning system failure and the remaining system could not maintain cabin pressure, the integrity of the aircraft was just fine, landed safely on Grand Rapid's runway 26L and taxied to the apron.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration N321US reached Boston with a delay of 2 hours.
