A Condor Boeing 757-300, registration D-ABOH performing flight DE-7073 from Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was enroute at FL300 over the Mediterranean Sea about 100nm northwest of Alexandria (Egypt) when the first officer became ill and was no longer able to perform his duties. A line flight instructor, member of the crew, assumed the duties of the first officer for the remainder of the flight, that was continued to Frankfurt for a safe landing on runway 25L about 3:45 hours later.

Germany's BFU reported in their monthly bulletin that the first officer was not able to continue his duties due to health problems, a line flight instructor who was on board as member of the crew assumed the role of the first officer until landing in Frankfurt.
