A Kolavia Airbus A321-200, registration EI-ETK performing flight 7K-9822 from Hurghada (Egypt) to Moscow Domodedovo (Russia) with 167 passengers, was climbing through about 1500 feet out of Hurghada when the crew received a front cargo door open indication. The crew decided to return to Hurghada, burned off fuel and landed safely about 50 minutes after departure.

Rosaviatsia reported maintenance determined the indication was false.

Following repairs the aircraft departed again and reached Moscow with a delay of 6 hours.
