A Malaysia Airlines Airbus A380-800, registration 9M-MNC performing flight MH-20 (dep Mar 11th) from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France), was on final approach to Charles de Gaulle's runway 09L when the crew reported a nose gear steering indication prompting emergency services to assume their stand by positions. The aircraft landed and rolled out safely but was unable to vacate the runway and needed to be towed off the runway. While under tow along the taxiways a number of tow bars broke.

The aircraft has not yet departed for the return flight MH-21 13 hours after landing and 7:40 hours past schedule but currently appears to be taxiing out. The airline estimated the "re-timed" departure for 18:00L (6 hours past schedule).

Several French media reported the occurrence as a runway or taxiway excursion.
