A United Boeing 777-200, registration N787UA performing flight UA-927 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to San Francisco,CA (USA), was enroute at FL360 northnortheast of Edmonton,AB (Canada) when the crew reported multiple EICAS messages associated with an electrical fault. The crew consulted with maintenance and dispatch, determined the fault could not be resolved using the non-normal checklists and about 120nm northnortheast of Edmonton decided to divert to Edmonton, declared Mayday and landed safely on Edmonton's runway 12 about 25 minutes after leaving FL360.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance identified a faulty overhead panel bus controller.
