An Orbest Airbus A330-900, registration CS-TCF performing flight 6O-824 (dep Jun 24th) from Santa Clara (Cuba) to Lisbon (Portugal), landed on Lisbon's runway 02 and taxied to the apron.

A passenger waiting for the next flight 6O-835 reported the aircraft was already at the gate and the passengers were waiting for boarding time, when they were told the flight was cancelled due to a collision with a foreign object on the runway.

Portugal's GPIAAF reported the incident was related to a tyre retread burst and related damage to the aircraft.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Lisbon until Jul 12th 2025, performed a test flight and returned to service on Jul 13th 2025.
