A replacement Fly2Sky Airbus A321-200 registration LZ-MDL continued the flight and reached Sharm el Sheikh with a delay of about 13.5 hours.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Katowice about 10 days after landing.
On Jul 17th 2025 Poland's PKBWL reported: "During takeoff climbout while attempting to avoid a storm front, the aircraft entered a hailstorm. The flight crew informed ATC of a weather radar failure, aborted the flight, and requested landing vectors to the en-route airport, where the aircraft landed safely. After landing, significant damage to the aircraft was detected.", rated the occurrence an accident and opened an investigation.
