A THY Turkish Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration TC-JOG performing flight TK-713 from Dhaka (Bangladesh) to Istanbul (Turkey) with 280 passengers and 11 crew, was climbing out of Dhaka's runway 14 when the crew stopped the climb at 2000 feet following a bird strike into the right hand engine (CF6). The aircraft returned to Dhaka for a safe landing on runway 14 about one hour later.

The airline reported an unexpected bird strike into the right hand engine.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Dhaka about 39 hours after landing. The passengers were taken to hotels.
