An American Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N159AN performing flight AA-1175 from San Francisco,CA to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA), departed San Francisco's runway 01R when a puff of smoke was seen. The aircraft continued the climb at FL350 and carried on to Dallas. In the meantime a runway inspection found debris on the runway. The aircraft landed safely on Dallas Ft. Worth's runway 36L about 3 hours after departure.

The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT ON DEPARTURE, EXPERIENCED A PUFF OF SMOKE AND DEBRIS WAS RECOVERED FROM THE RUNWAY, A LEFT-ENGINE THRUST REVERSE LINER, DALLAS-FORTH, TX."

The aircraft is still on the ground in Dallas on May 12th 2025.
