A Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737-800, registration PK-GUD performing flight GA-288 from Jakarta to Tanjung Pinang (Indonesia) with 161 people on board, landed on Tanjung Pinang's runway 07L, vacated the runway and taxied to the apron, where it was found, that a nose tyre was missing.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 8 hours before departing for the return flight reaching Jakarta with a delay of about 7:15 hours.

A passenger video showed the tyre overtaking the slowing aircraft.

The airline reported the tyre damage occurred after the aircraft had safely landed, it hadn't been a burst tyre, the tyre had come off. All 161 occupants remained safe. There was no other damage to the aircraft.
