A Discover Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration D-AIKB performing 4Y-77 from Calgary,AB (Canada) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was climbing out of Calgary's runway 35R when the crew stopped the climb at about FL220, donned their oxygen masks reporting an odour of Diesel throughout the aircraft and decided to return to Calgary. The aircraft landed safely on Calgary's runway 35R about 35 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported on Mar 10th 2025 that the aircraft landed back overweight, emergency services inspected the brakes.

The aircraft positioned to Frankfurt about 49 hours after landing and resumed service.
