A Porter Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-GLQV performing flight PD-406 from Montreal,QC to Toronto City Airport,ON (Canada) with 50 people on board, was climbing through 6500 feet out of Montreal when the crew received indication of an open door and a depressurization of the aircraft. The crew declared emergency and returned to Montreal for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported the door to the luggage compartment had not been properly closed and locked before departure. The aircraft sustained no damage and was returned to service.
