However, the return flight was postponed and was carried out by a replacement A320, registration 9H-WAU, reaching Cluj with a delay of about 7 hours.
A passenger booked onto the return flight reported that the entire crew of the inbound flight had to be hospitalized due to fumes/smoke on board of the aircraft. A replacement aircraft was dispatched from Cluj and took them to Cluj reaching the destination with a delay of about 7 hours.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Barcelona for about 13 hours, then positioned back to Cluj and resumed service about 5 hours after landing in Cluj.
Wizz Air did not respond to e-mails sent by The Aviation Herald.
