A JSX Embraer ERJ-145, registration N922JX performing flight XE-550 from Denver Rocky Mountain,CO to Burbank,CA (USA), was climbing out of Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport's runway 12L when the crew stopped the climb at about 9000 feet reporting smoke in the cockpit and decided to return to the Rocky Mountain Airport. While on approach to the airport the crew advised that the smoke had dissipated. The aircraft landed safely on runway 30R about 12 minutes after departure.

A replacement ERJ-145 registration N246JX reached Burbank with a delay of about 5.5 hours.
