A San Marino Executive Aviation Airbus A300-600 freighter on behalf of El Al, registration T7-ASK performing flight LY-822 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Tel Aviv (Israel), was enroute at FL310 about 80nm north of Ljubljana (Slovenia) when the crew declared PAN PAN reporting problems with one of their generators. At about the time the ADS-B data transmitted became unreliable (e.g. altitude indication 0 feet). The crew subsequently upgraded to Mayday, requested vectors for a diversion to Ljubljana and holds to burn off fuel. ADS-B data seemed to become reliable again while descending through FL180 and entering the holds, the aircraft landed safely on Ljubljana's runway 30 about 75 minutes after the onset of trouble.

On Oct 18th 2024 Slovenia's AIC reported: "While enroute at FL 310 in Austrian airspace, a generator 2 failure alert was triggered. Upon entering Slovenian airspace the crew contacted Ljubljana ATC. A few seconds later, an AC BUS2 OFF warning was received. The aircraft lost most of the displays and instruments on the CM2 (F/O) side. The crew continued in manual control, reported “RVSM unable” and requested a descent. The situation became critical and the captain declared MAYDAY. The crew decided to divert to LJLJ airport. They continued with the ILS RWY 30 procedure and performed an uneventful landing." The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Ljubljana for about 27 hours, then returned to Liege and remained on the ground in Liege for another 81 hours (3 days 9 hours) before returning to service.
