A Shuttle America Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of Delta Airlines, flight S5-6011/DL-6011 from New York La Guardia,NY to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA) with 24 people on board, was climbing out of La Guardia's runway 13 when the crew did not receive indication the nose gear had fully retracted after commanding the gear up. The crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet and diverted to Newark,NJ (USA) advising on approach to Newark that they expected a normal landing but wanted emergency services check the nose gear before vacating the runway. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 22L about 30 minutes after departure.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.
