A Qanot Sharq Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration UK32031 performing flight HH-572 from Istanbul (Turkey) to Samarkand (Uzbekistan) with 170 people on board, was enroute at FL330 about 70nm northwest of Ankara (Turkey) when the crew initiated an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft diverted to Merzifon (Turkey) where the aircraft landed without further incident.

The airline reported the aircraft lost cabin pressure due to a technical fault and diverted to the military Airport of Merzifon, where the aircraft landed safely. Passengers and crew were taken to hotels while engineers are checking the aircraft. A replacement aircraft is being dispatched.
