A passenger reported: "Shortly after take off we encountered light to moderate turbulence. About 20-25 minutes into the flight, well above the clouds, the captain announced that we are returning to Katowice due to a possible lightning strike and need of inspection. I did not notice any odd sound or disturbance in the flight however."
A replacement A321-200N registration HA-LVT reached Eindhoven with a delay of about 5.5 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 29.5 hours after landing.
