Scat AN24 at Almaty on Feb 7th 2013, runway excursion on landing

A Scat Airlines Antonov AN-24, registration UP-AN416 performing flight DV-766 from Taraz to Almaty (Kazakhstan) with 20 passengers and 4 crew, was on approach to Almaty's runway 05L but touched down with the left main gear on soft ground off the left runway egde while landing in fog at 15:51L (09:51Z) and came to a stop after about 580 meters ground roll and 40 meters left of the left runway edge line. No injuries and no damage occurred.

The aircraft was towed to the apron.

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport have opened an investigation into the serious incident.
