An Air India Airbus A321-200, registration VT-PPI performing flight AI-684 from Goa to Mumbai (India), was accelerating for takeoff from Goa's runway 26 when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed (about 115 knots over ground) due to a bird strike. The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.

The flight was cancelled.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Goa about 16 hours after the rejected takeoff.
