A Swiss European Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration HB-IYQ performing flight LX-460 from Zurich (Switzerland) to London City,EN (UK), aborted the approach to London City Airport's runway 27 due to an unsafe gear indication, went around from about 1600 feet and diverted to London Stansted Airport for a safe landing on runway 04 about 30 minutes later.

A passenger reported the captain announced a go-around, about 10 minutes later the captain explained that the go-around had been due to a problem with the landing gear, another 15 minutes later the captain announced they were diverting to Stansted. Emergency services were on stand by for the safe landing.
