A Ryanair Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration EI-IJI performing flight FR-2970 from Tenerife South,CI (Spain) to Edinburgh,SC (UK), was climbing through FL330 out of Tenerife when the crew stopped the climb and decided to return to Tenerife reporting they had a smoke indication for the cabin. The aircraft landed safely back on Tenerife's runway 07 about 50 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 90 minutes, then departed again and reached Edinburgh with a delay of about 2:15 hours.
